I looked long and hard from Anchorage Alaska knowing I needed two crowns. Dr Citrin and his staff (front and back)not only put me at ease (I have a fear developed from another AK dentist) but did so with a great sense of humor. I would recommend this office to anyone who has had a bad experience. The cost was not nearly what I paid up north and there was absolutely NO pain...I still cannot believe it!
About Hygienist: The hygienist was choreographed to perfection with the Dr. She explained quickly and thoroughly all moves and I can see that they know I have better things to do than spend too much time in a dentists office. Thank you so much.

Dr. Citrin has been my dentist since 1984. Over the years, he has treated a number of friends and family members I have sent his way. I have had everything from x-rays to cleanings to fillings to root canals and recently, veneers. There is nothing this guy can't do when it comes to teeth !I had 8 veneers done (4 top and 4 bottom, front) 2 years ago and I still get compliments regularly. I used to be self conscious of my smile, but not anymore !His work is quick but thorough. The only pain you might feel is from one of his many baaaddd jokes !He always has one at the ready upon request !In all sincerity, Dr. Jay has been wonderful and I look forward to many more visits to his office.
About Hygienist: Dr. Jay's staff is outstanding and experienced. Kathy has manned the phones and reception desk for as long as I can remember. June is the only hygienist I can remember working on me. That says alot about a dentist when his staff remains dedicated for so many years.

This is the very best Dentist I have ever had. If I moved from the area, I would fly into Tucson to see him. Jay has an outstanding personality and is always smiling. He puts you at ease and is very considerate as is his staff. I had approximately 22 teeth either laminated or crowned and have not had any problems. My teeth look perfectly natural; beautifully white and I can't count the number of compliments that I have received from my friends. The cost was substantially less than other dentists in the area too. He saved me about $14,000.00 in dental work and that speaks for itself considering I don't have dental insurance.Insofar as his staff; they are all wonderful people; very pleasant, cheeful, courteous and professional. I give my very highest recommendation to anyone that would like to haveDr. J as their personal dentist. Since the completion of my dental work, Dr. J and I have developed a personal relationship and we occasionally play golf but you need to check his handicapp if you play for money! It is difficult to express enough positive statements concerning Dr. Citrin and have them believed by third parties...sure Dr. "J" would agree, but would others? For thirty years my wife and I have actually looked forward to our semi-annual visits to his office. Not only is the environment - for a dentist's office yet - highly conducive to actual enjoyment, but it truly sets the standard for a relaxed, pleasurable and fun experience. Dr. J and his staff have somehow linked their pleasing personalities with a level of competence not matched elsewhere. Do I love visiting Dr. Citrin's office, you bet!

i had a toothache last week. and dr. citrin saw me the same day. it turned out that i had an abscess. he did a root canal that day and i was very impressed. i had no pain and the terror that i expected never showed up. if you have to have some work done, i highly recommend dr. citrin

He treated a couple of cavities for me and unfortunately one tooth resisted the material used in the filling, however Dr. Citrin re-filled the tooth with a different material free of charge! I moved to Dr. Jay from another dentist based on a recommendation from a co-worker and let me tell you the difference was like night and day! I am apprehensive when going through dental procedures and Dr. Jay took the time to calm my nerves and make my visit as fun as possible (for a root canal!) I had to receive a crown and he made sure it was absolutely perfect fit and comfortable for me before he put it on permanently. He also eased my spouse's concerns and anxiety-he absolutely hates going to the dentist and has had several bad experiences so finding a dentist that actually cares about his patients and takes the extra time to really connect has been a Godsend for us! I recommend Dr. Jay to anyone who ever asks for a referral!
About Hygienist: Everyone at the office is always so great to be around! The hygienist is VERY gentle and friendly and really makes you feel at home and comfortable. It is always a great experience at Dr. Jays!

They were able to fit me into their schedule almost immediately (within about five days of my call). When I moved to Tucson, I didn't know which dentist to choose. I certainly got a lot of advice about whom I should avoid! Then I found this website and Dr. Citrin's reviews. Today I went for x-rays and a cleaning, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The receptionist is friendly, professional, and has a great sense of humor. The hygienist was gentle, kind, patient, and thorough. Dr. Citrin expressed an interest in answering all my questions, explained he is always available to his patients, and was congenial and professional. The last dentist I went to pushed all kinds of unnecessary treatments, including ruinously expensive "Lumineers," etc. Today I found there was nothing wrong with the condition of my teeth and the crown I was told I needed "immediately" is not necessary. In other words, Dr. Citrin is an honest man and cares about his patients. Overall, this was an excellent experience! I don't have "dental anxiety," but I believe even those who do would have a positive outcome. I've already recommended Dr. Citrin to several friends this afternoon...and now to you. If you're looking for a positive, supportive dental practice, you've found it.

I am so incredibly impressed with Dr. Citrin... and his staff... they give the highest honor to the art dentistry.Both humane, compassionate, professional and enjoyable.I went in for an emergency procedure and I left smiling, even though what I had gone through was less than enjoyable, they made a very bad situation... quite literally... a GREAT experience; for anyone to say that of a dentist is remarkable.I felt an incredible amount of concern not only for my direct state of health but also for my overall state of being, nervousness, anxiety, fear, etc. They addressed it all.Should I ever move from Tucson I will travel back for his service alone. Not only does he have a dedicated client from now until forever but I am also an advocate.If there is a dentist hall of fame I nominate Dr. Citrin and his staff.This site will not let me rate the cost as "Extremely Cheap" but let me say that I went to Dr. Citrin despite the fact that he wasn't under my dental plan and the cost was very.... i had been going to a different dentist before i met dr. citrin.my periodontist did some implants and wanted me to have the crowns finished by my dentist. i told my periodontist that i was not happy with the service of my prior dentist and my periodontist referred me to dr. citrin. i was very pleased with the care and quality. it may be hard to believe, but he was also 40 percent less than my original dentist for the cost of finishing the implants. to me it is also impressive that dr citrin is the one who gets the referrals from the specialists.

i have known dr Citrin for 25 years. the best compliment i can give him is what i realized the last time i was in his office. while i was waiting(which is always less than five minutes) to be seated, i saw a patient leaving and laughing as she walked out. i smiled at her demeanor as she left. suddenly i recognized that in my 25 years as a patient, whether one is entering his office or leaving, the patient always has a smile on his or her face.. i cannot think of a better compliment for a doctor.

PAINLESS Root Canal in less than an hour!! My first visit I was scheduled for a filling and they made time for an Emergency Root Canal! Best dentist I have ever been to! My family learned of Dr. Citrin by chance and spent several years with him as our primary dentist. Then, due to insurance company issues, we had to choose another dentist. What a disaster. The new office was interested in the fast buck and in shuffling as many patients as possible through the doors. Even though our insurance coverage was not as good, we chose to return to Dr. Citrin's care. He is extremely caring and concerned for his patients and, with his sense of humor, visits become "almost" enjoyable. His staff and receptionist are tops, too. They will do whatever possible to make the visit pleasant and the least painful (physically and financially).We have and will continue to refer friends to Dr. Citrin's office.
