Dr. Citrin just performed a new crown for me, I was amazed at the new technology/digital equipment he just installed. This digital machine took a 3D picture of my teeth and sent the info to manufactuer which made the new crown. The fit was perfect as Dr. Citrin promised. Dr. Citrin also has this method of shaking your mouth/lips while he is injecting you with novacane shot, I never, ever feel the shot, it is painless. Best Dentist I have been to in Tucson.

A wonderful dentist and dental practice, very efficient - no waiting, and always top-notch professional and friendly. My hygienist, June, is wonderful. Dr. Citrin and his staff are excellent. They treat you like they know what it's like to be a patient.

I've never had to spend a lot of time in the waiting room. I barely have time to sit down and find a magazine before I'm called back.

Dr. Citrin is quick and professional, and his treatment is pretty painless. He is good at what he does, and you can tell he enjoys being there and working with his patients.

I always recommend Dr. Citrin to people I know looking for a dentist.

Too bad your ratings don't go up to 10. I have gone to many dentists in my life time and once I met Jay I and my family haven't even thought of seaking another. He use to call himself the painless dentist, well it's true. He has pulled, drilled, yanked, capped, bridged several areas and I have never had any problems.

One time I bit into a hard piece of carmal and my front crown broke in two pieces and I only had it for about a month. I went back to him and he said that should never have happened and he replaced it at no charge.

His entire staff is A++++ in my book. He has had these people for as long as I can remember, this must say something for his opperation.

4 generations of my family have been regular patients of Dr.Citrin. I first went to Dr. Citrin when I was 8 years old, and now my son and daughter see him too! I remember all of the times he took away my stress as a child by showing me his gadgets and letting me squirt him with water. Now he does the same thing with my kids. Dr. Citrin takes the time to ask about my family: my parents, grandparents and my brother and sister in law- they are all patients of his. Over the years we have had our share of dental work and he does everything he can to ease the pain and give us a top notch repair. If he can't he always refers us to the best quality specialists and goes the extra step to make a courtesy call to let that office know to expect us and what help we need. He has also opened his office at unusual hours or returned calls from home in the evenings just to answer questions or see how the recovery from a procedure is. As a young adult I was evaluated and treated by him for TMJ and haven't had a problem since. Dr. Citrin has worked with my entire family, but over the years I know we all consider him to be part of ours.

It is all about his "patient" - being able to understand most any proceedure - some short term some long term - always up to date - consistant in his kindness - piled high with his humor, surrounded by his loving staff. I had a filling put in today. When I got my last filling I was a young teenager, and it was painful. I am now in my 40's. Dr. Citrin was aware of my prior experience, and made every effort to ensure my comfort, checking with me several times during the procedure. He is also very funny - he made me laugh several times while I was there.

He has a good rapport with the staff in his office. Everyone is in good humor. I believe his assistant was laughing today, too, although I couldn't really see. She seemed happy, and she was well prepared for each step. He thanked her for that.

Today while we were waiting for the Novocaine to take effect, we were interrupted by an emergency phone call from someone who was there for a procedure yesterday and needed help. He apologized, but I was impressed that he took care of a more urgent situation immediately. The timing was good - we had only been chatting. He was back within minutes.

I would recommend Dr. Citrin. The office has a family atmosphere, and everyone is very friendly. It is a pleasure to talk with the front desk staff, who are very willing to work with me in terms of paying. I would consider the costs very reasonable.

The filling went fine, and I left smiling.

I have known and been very pleased with Dr. Citrin's services for over 30 yrs. Prior to meeting Dr. Citrin I had had several root canals and crowns done by other dentists. Dr. Citrin has replaced most of them for dental health reasons but is always careful to be sure the crown is fit properly and is the proper shade. He was very careful about the asthetics of my front upper crown.

Over the years we have been with several different dental plans (and briefly without dental coverage) and Dr. Citrin has always worked with us to be sure that we were provided the same level of dental care by his office.

My daughter, now married and living in Chandler, Az ,still thinks of Dr. Citrin as her dentist and when she has a problem or wants a second opinion she makes the trip to see Dr. Citrin - her "trusted" dentist. "Because he has never done anything I didn't need."

Dr. Citrin has been my dentist for almost as long as he's been practicing and I can't imagine going to anyone else. He's funny, compassionate, he puts you at ease right away -- and he's excellent at what he does.

He did a great job on my crown last year and with my anxiety (which was intense). Hardly felt the novocane and I'm very happy with the crown.

He has a calming and beautiful office and a friendly, helpful staff.

We have changed insurance companies over the years and he has always worked with us and our insurance to provide excellent services at a reasonable cost.

Dr. Citrin is the best!!! I will continue to refer friends and family to him.

Dr. Citrin became my dentist when I met my wife. So I sort of married into the family. Even though he is not blood family, he has been the dentist for my wife and her family for years and he is amazing.

I enjoy my time at the dentist office when I go. He is very personable and does the work right. I never get anxious about seeing him and now my kids go to him. They have been going to him as long as they have been alive and they also enjoy going to his office.

I would reccomend him for anyone looking for a good dentist.

I had the good fortune of being referred to Dr Citrin in 1979. He has provided dental services for myself and my family in a superior fashion for thirty years. His staff is professional and stable having been with him for many years. Seriously, while his fees may very well be low, I do not know or care how his costs compare to other facilities. When it comes to dental/medical care I do not seek out the low end provider. I want a knowledgeable professional, a clean modern facility, friendly effective staff and some compassion when I am hurting. I have it all with Dr Jay Citrin.

My husband, daughter and I found Dr. Citrin (who we now call Jay), 22 years ago when we moved to Tucson. Since that time we have also recommended him to our colleagues and students at the UofA and many of them have also become patients.

Jay goes the extra mile if any emergency ever arises and will fit you into the schedule even if he is packed. A few times he met us at his office even before the office opened at 8:00 a.m.!

There is NEVER a wait in Jay's office of more than a minute or two and generally if YOU are prompt, you walk right through the door and into his examining room.

His hygenist is one of the best we've ever experienced anywhere in the U.S.! She does an amazing and painless job!

The office staff is very friendly and even outgoingly jovial and warm and you always feel special when you come into the office.

Now my father is also a patient. He is 87 years old and frequently needs reminders about taking better care of his teeth and Jay always finds a gently appropriate way to get the message accross.

I cannot find enough positive things to say about Jay! In addition to being the dentist for our family, he is also someone with whom we have established a special rapport.

Jay has been my family dentist for over thirty years. He has treated not only my wife and I, but also all our children. Even when dental work was recommended by another dentist for our very young grandchild, Jay insisted on a courtesy exam just to make sure the work was necessary. Jay is very professional and treats you as if you were a family member. He goes above and beyond what you would expect. For example, he's done some work on me and has told me: "If you have any problem over the weekend call me and I'll meet you at the office and take care of it." He's truly a caring, compassionate, and comforting individual.

Not one to look forward to dentist appointments - and much less so, the dreaded shot - Dr. Jay Citrin is the absolute best. He obviously loves what he does and his patients and staff (which says a lot) love him. Kathy at the front desk always has a smile and laugh whether in person or with your 'appointment reminder call'. Speaking of laugh, how many dentists make you laugh while you are in 'the' chair. Our daughters pediatrician, Dr Cohn, referred us to Dr Citrin before she ever got her first tooth. My husband went in for very extensive work and Dr Citrin completely rebuilt his smile. Over the 34 years with him as our Doctor I can not say enough about the care, guidance, and concern not only Dr Citrin has provided us, but his staff as well. It's reassuring to know that your doctor is up to date, competent, not afraid to try new techniques.

Mom says I started going to Dr. Jay as soon as i cut my first tooth! He's not just my dentist, but he's like family. Growing up with him as my dentist, I have never been scared to have dental care.

As an adult now, I no longer live in the Tucson area and was recently forced to find a new dentist. I had a very negative experience with that dentist where I live, and called Dr. Jay for guidance. I now talk to him regularly about my treatments here and get his opinion on everything I have done. Dr. Citrin is the best! He has my dentist for 20 years and also sees my husband, 3 kids and my parents. Dr. Citrin gets an A+ in bedside manner. He made my children's first dental experiences fun and stress free. He always makes me feel like I'm his favorite patient and takes time to chat and ask about the family.

15 years ago when my benefits included a dental plan I went to one of the approved providers. Never again. After one visit I went back to Dr Citrin even though it meant being a self-pay. He is worth every penny. He has filled my cavities and given me several new and several replacement caps. He gives the best, most painless shot you will ever get.

He's a straight shooter and tells you exactly what you need to hear. And his after hours voice mail gives you his home phone and cell phone numbers in case of emergency. How many dentists would do that?

His entire staff is fabulous. Cathy at the front desk is a constant friendly presence. The office is beautiful and well kept. You couldn't ask for more in a dental office.

In my life, I've never had a dentist as skilled and caring as Dr. Citrin. His office personnel reflect his attitude towards his patients as well. I never fail to get a reminder call from Kathy or another one of his excellent staff, and they always seem happy to see me. Dr. Citrin takes the time to inform me of my options and answer questions without rushing me. We had another local dentist for a short time when our insurance changed, but we came back to Dr. Citrin because it wasn't worth the money saved for the trade-off in quality of care. Dr. Jay Citrin is the dentist for our two young children. His approach, demeanor and handling of two boys (8 and 10) is absolutely amazing. They are so comfortable seeing Dr. Jay that they look forward to their six-month check ups. He has been available for phone consutations and immediate visits when we have had a couple of minor mishaps involving teeth. Nothing serious but just knowing he's available to discuss the situation and willing to see the boys on short notice is most comforting. He has an outstanding approach to getting kids comfortable with dentistry and actually makes it fun. Who needs a "children's dentist" when you can have Dr. Jay as your family dentist.

I started seeing Dr. Citrin when I was offered dental insurance by my employer. I had been raised without dental care and being in my mid-twenties had a few problems to catch up with. I was in need of two root canals and two crowns. I was very nervous about these procedures and what they would entail but Dr. Citrin took the time to explain what was happening and the best steps to fix the problems. He was very reassuring and experienced. He uses top of the line technology and has an amazingly professional staff. Not only does he put your fears at ease, he makes the time spent at the dentist relaxing and actually fun. Dr. Citrin has a way of making you feel like you're the most important patient he's seeing that day and follows up with personal phone calls. My two root canals went smoothly and my first crown looks and feels great. (I go in for my second one soon.) I don't dread going to the dentist anymore since I found Dr. Citrin.

About Hygienist: My favorite Hygienist is Erin. She is so polite and knowlegable. She answers all my questions professionally and takes the time to listen to my concerns. I was visiting Tucson and broke my front tooth. I called Dr. Citrin and he was able to see me that morning. He bonded a filling to my tooth. You couldn't even tell that the tooth was broken. It looked so life like.

I was appreciative that he saw me quickly, didn't hurt, and a great final result. Wonderful office, staff and I wish I lived in Tucson so he could always be my dentist.

After suffering a very painful and inconvenient broken wisdom tooth for over a year, I finally reached a threshold of pain that I could no longer endure. I searched the internet for best inexpensive dentists in Tucson, and found Dr. Citrin at the top of the list. After reading the reviews, all of which were glowing, I called the office. I expected that I might be able to get an appointment within a week or two, but the receptionist, who was very helpful and informative asked me if I would like to come in at 1:45!! The same day!! I was amazed. The quote i was given for the work was reasonable so I made the appt. I was fully expecting to be out of commision for at leat a few days,and also expected to spend at least $50 more than the receptionist had stated. The office was nice and clean, and everyone was very friendly. I was in and out in less than an hour, and felt very well cared for by everyone in the office. Dr. Citrin was very calming and funny, and also a very understanding and gentle dentist. He put me right at ease and got the tooth out with no problems. I had so little pain that I only took two aleve over the next couple of days and went to work that night. I highly recommend Dr. Citrin and his excellent staff!

I looked long and hard from Anchorage Alaska knowing I needed two crowns. Dr Citrin and his staff (front and back)not only put me at ease (I have a fear developed from another AK dentist) but did so with a great sense of humor. I would recommend this office to anyone who has had a bad experience. The cost was not nearly what I paid up north and there was absolutely NO pain...I still cannot believe it!

Dr. Citrin has been my dentist since 1984. Over the years, he has treated a number of friends and family members I have sent his way. I have had everything from x-rays to cleanings to fillings to root canals and recently, veneers. There is nothing this guy can't do when it comes to teeth !

I had 8 veneers done (4 top and 4 bottom, front) 2 years ago and I still get compliments regularly. I used to be self conscious of my smile, but not anymore !

His work is quick but thorough. The only pain you might feel is from one of his many baaaddd jokes !

He always has one at the ready upon request !

In all sincerity, Dr. Jay has been wonderful and I look forward to many more visits to his office.

This is the very best Dentist I have ever had. If I moved from the area, I would fly into Tucson to see him. Jay has an outstanding personality and is always smiling. He puts you at ease and is very considerate as is his staff. I had approximately 22 teeth either laminated or crowned and have not had any problems. My teeth look perfectly natural; beautifully white and I can't count the number of compliments that I have received from my friends. The cost was substantially less than other dentists in the area too. He saved me about $14,000.00 in dental work and that speaks for itself considering I don't have dental insurance.

Insofar as his staff; they are all wonderful people; very pleasant, cheeful, courteous and professional. I give my very highest recommendation to anyone that would like to have

Dr. J as their personal dentist.

Since the completion of my dental work, Dr. J and I have developed a personal relationship and we occasionally play golf but you need to check his handicapp if you play for money! Still don't believe he has a handicap of 18 !!

I moved to Dr. Jay from another dentist based on a recommendation from a co-worker and let me tell you the difference was like night and day! I am apprehensive when going through dental procedures and Dr. Jay took the time to calm my nerves and make my visit as fun as possible (for a root canal!) I had to receive a crown and he made sure it was absolutely perfect fit and comfortable for me before he put it on permanently. He also eased my spouse's concerns and anxiety-he absolutely hates going to the dentist and has had several bad experiences so finding a dentist that actually cares about his patients and takes the extra time to really connect has been a Godsend for us! I recommend Dr. Jay to anyone who ever asks for a referral!

When I moved to Tucson, I didn't know which dentist to choose. I certainly got a lot of advice about whom I should avoid! Then I found this website and Dr. Citrin's reviews. Today I went for x-rays and a cleaning, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The receptionist is friendly, professional, and has a great sense of humor. The hygienist was gentle, kind, patient, and thorough. Dr. Citrin expressed an interest in answering all my questions, explained he is always available to his patients, and was congenial and professional. The last dentist I went to pushed all kinds of unnecessary treatments, including ruinously expensive "Lumineers," etc. Today I found there was nothing wrong with the condition of my teeth and the crown I was told I needed "immediately" is not necessary. In other words, Dr. Citrin is an honest man and cares about his patients. Overall, this was an excellent experience! I don't have "dental anxiety," but I believe even those who do would have a positive outcome. I've already recommended Dr. Citrin to several friends this afternoon...and now to you. If you're looking for a positive, supportive dental practice, you've found it.

I am so incredibly impressed with Dr. Citrin... and his staff... they give the highest honor to the art dentistry.

Both humane, compassionate, professional and enjoyable.

I went in for an emergency procedure and I left smiling, even though what I had gone through was less than enjoyable, they made a very bad situation... quite literally... a GREAT experience; for anyone to say that of a dentist is remarkable.

I felt an incredible amount of concern not only for my direct state of health but also for my overall state of being, nervousness, anxiety, fear, etc. They addressed it all.

Should I ever move from Tucson I will travel back for his service alone. Not only does he have a dedicated client from now until forever but I am also an advocate.

If there is a dentist hall of fame I nominate Dr. Citrin and his staff.

This site will not let me rate the cost as "Extremely Cheap" but let me say that I went to Dr. Citrin despite the fact that he wasn't under my dental plan and the cost was very.... VERY fair.

i had been going to a different dentist before i met dr. citrin.my periodontist did some implants and wanted me to have the crowns finished by my dentist. i told my periodontist that i was not happy with the service of my prior dentist and my periodontist referred me to dr. citrin. i was very pleased with the care and quality. it may be hard to believe, but he was also 40 percent less than my original dentist for the cost of finishing the implants. to me it is also impressive that dr citrin is the one who gets the referrals from the specialists.

i have known dr Citrin for 25 years. the best compliment i can give him is what i realized the last time i was in his office. while i was waiting(which is always less than five minutes) to be seated, i saw a patient leaving and laughing as she walked out. i smiled at her demeanor as she left. suddenly i recognized that in my 25 years as a patient, whether one is entering his office or leaving, the patient always has a smile on his or her face.. i cannot think of a better compliment for a doctor.

My family learned of Dr. Citrin by chance and spent several years with him as our primary dentist. Then, due to insurance company issues, we had to choose another dentist. What a disaster. The new office was interested in the fast buck and in shuffling as many patients as possible through the doors. Even though our insurance coverage was not as good, we chose to return to Dr. Citrin's care. He is extremely caring and concerned for his patients and, with his sense of humor, visits become "almost" enjoyable. His staff and receptionist are tops, too. They will do whatever possible to make the visit pleasant and the least painful (physically and financially).

We have and will continue to refer friends to Dr. Citrin's office.
