Practice Information
I love being a dentist. I took over the practice of Dr. John Peterson DDS. He was greatly loved by most of his patients and this naturally creates a difficult transition for dental patients. We offer comprehensive dentistry. I believe that it is important that patients understand their options and choose their treatment. We will recommend the best possible, but we always respect a patient's right to choose a less effective treatment. The most disrespectful thing I could do would be to assume that a patient only wants, deserves, or can afford a lesser treatment. I always encourage patients to seek a second opinion if they question the treatments I recommend. Come see me, and you will see that I value each patient that visits.

Patient Review 1:

I started seeing Dr Allen when Dr Peterson retired. I began seeing Peterson at the beginning of his career when I was only 6 yo. So Dr Allen had some big shoes to fill. My wife and I were initially concerned about going to a young doctor. Our fears were dispelled after only a couple of visits. He is very careful, considerate, knowledgeable, in short, everything we came to expect with Peterson. My wife has had a complex ongoing dental problem, which Dr Allen had been able to successfully tackle over the last 2 years. He has dealt with my tooth problems very effectively and with very minimal discomfort. He has been able to cosmetically (and mechanically) improve my tooth erosion problem to a high degree. We are completely pleased with Dr Allen and his staff. He is also on heck of a good guy.Stuart & Clara
About Hygienist: I have had three different hygienists over the years at this location. All have been top notch.

Patient Review 2:

Overall a very good office. Dr. Allen is very personable and thorough with his explanations of any work going on. While some of the furniture and decorations are a little dated, the equipment seemed up to date, which is much more important. I was impressed with the digital X-rays used. Dr. Allen was able to blow them up and show me exactly where there was a problem. For things that matter, this is the best dentist I've been to in a while. I would recommend his office to my friends and family.
Treatment Length with Dr. Allen: 4 months.

I appreciate this honest review. We focus on patient comfort and excellent results. Our office needed, and is going through an upgrade to the equipment and decor. Due to the complexity of transitioning doctors in the last year, we were often faced with short term challenges. We are constantly focusing on our customer service to improve patient comfort and understanding. I would like to think that the hardest things to change are the things that we scored well in. The others are easy to fix. |
Patient Review 4:

If you are looking for a negative, gloom and doom practice ----this is it. Have NEVER in my long life encountered such negative and stress causing people. Instead of finding solutions, they preach and lecture and give you no options except theirs.I went to a different dental practice and they gave me lots of options for treatment. In Lan Allen's office, there was no talk or discussion. THEY TOLD YOU what they would do, and nothing else was considered. My medical doctor told me last year to stay away from negative people. This is as negative as it could get. I found a "can do" positive minded dentist, who is more interested in fixing my teeth, than giving me lectures.

This is completely opposite of my philosophy. We always give options for treatment, and explain "benefits" and "sacrifices". The only time I refuse to treat a patient at their discretion is when the treatment will not be supported by the State Dental Board. If a patient insists on treatment that is less than the standard of care, I then advise they seek treatment elsewhere. Reputation is very important to me. Considering the statements made, I think most people find the opposite to be true. |
