I moved to Tucson for graduate school and promptly broke a tooth in half. Not really knowing anyone in town, I turned to the web for a recommendation and found Dehnert Dental. What a great find!It's hard to wax poetic about a root canal and crown. Who could seriously say they enjoy the process? What I can say is every procedure has been pain free. The staff has been fantastic, and Dr. Dehnert seamlessly mixes courtesy and professionalism. The quality of the people in this office is what sets it apart. The facilities are new, spotless, and the rooms have great views of the mountains.I feel Dr. Dehnert is providing me with the best dental care I've ever had. I would feel utterly confident recommending them to anyone in Tucson, and will definitely be using the office for all my future dental needs.
About Hygienist: Chris has been my hygienist every time I've gone. Quite simply he's awesome. He made sure my temp fit perfectly before I left, has always answered my questions and has great chair-side manner. At my old dentist I had a hygienist who was nice, but pretty rough on the mouth. I have no problem calling someone out for what they are doing, right or wrong. That said, there is nothing to complain about with Chris or anyone else in the office. They're great. You'll be happy going there.

It was my first visit. I had a chipped lower tooth. I was able to get in very quickly, with my insurance the complete out of pocket cost was very reasonable. I was very nervous at my first appointment. His staff immediately put me at ease. When I did meet the Dr. He was kind, even able to joke a little. I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Dehnert 2 years ago when I needed an emergency extraction. I had just had a HORRIBLE experience with a different dentist in town and was feeling very unhappy and distrusting. Dr. Dehnert treated me with the utmost respect and concern and even being the "dental-phobe" that I am I have come back for a series of upcoming treatments to include a root canal (I can't believe it myself!), 2 crowns, several fillings and a partial upper plate. I would never have considered having this work done if it weren't for the personal concern and sincere compassion of the Dr. and his staff. I had my first visit with Dr. Dehnert a couple weeks ago. I hadn't visited a dentist in a while, mostly because of anxiety issues I've had during dentist visits. When I arrived the first thing that stood out to me was the facility. It had a very calming atmosphere. It helped me feel relaxed. The staff was nice and helpful. Cheyenne took full x-rays of my mouth and she made sure I was comfortable during the entire process. Dr. Dehnert then came in and reviewed my x-rays and help me map out a plan for future procedures I would need (a couple fillings and wisdom teeth removal). He was very informative and answered all my questions. Afterward, Tanya at the front desk gave me a detailed explanation of how much my future visits would cost and of exactly what my insurance would cover. It was a hassle-free and refreshing experience. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dehnert to anyone new to Tucson or looking for a new dentist.

I thought I was going to have a very painful week, but the stars were shining on me when I found Dehnert Dental! I knew I had a molar that needed to be extracted, but I waited way too long! What a mistake! At my age, and after years of extensive, and expensive dental procedures, I should have known better! The oral surgeon I have used before was booked solid. What to do? I nervously contacted Dr.Dehnert's office and was greeted pleasantly and professionally, by Tanya, who proceeded to listen to my tale of woe, set up a convenient appointment for the next morning, and suggested I contact the surgeon and have my x-rays e-mailed prior to my visit. All of this was done, and I entered a spanking new office with charming ,calming and competent professionals who did everything to make me feel welcome and reassured. Stacy helped with all the paperwork. Cheyenne,the assistant, got me ready to meet the Doctor and took my blood pressure.Dr.Dehnert has a wonderful personality, made me feel relaxed and at ease. He took my medical history, reviewed my current situation and told me what needed to be done, and then we were off. Everything went quickly and smoothly and I am recovering nicely. Hes WONDERFUL... I have been very skittish about returning to the dentist after previous experiences. The whole office was very understanding about my situation. I have a very low pain tolerance and he has been very paitent with me. When I have questions for him he expalins them in the detail thats necessary...even if it requires answering the same question twice. The office is always clean never a mess. Its wonderful to walk in and they know who you are. I dont really understand dental insurance so when I have questions they are willing to answer all of them in a way that makes sence. I have recomended Dr. Dehnert to others and they have been very happy with him and his staff.
About Hygienist: Eva is my hygienist and shes just a doll. She is very polite and very personal. I have had a wonderful experience with her and she to has been very patient with my pain tolerance. Its a wonderful feeling to walk out of there with squeeky clean teeth.

I went to Dr. Dehnert after being referred there by a close friend. I had not gone to the dentist in over 15 years due to being completely terrified of visiting the dentist from previous experiences. When I first called the office to schedule an appointment, I encountered Tawnya. She was so friendly, understanding and willing to help me. My first appointment came and I was again completely nervous. I was greeted by Stacey who took me back and gave me x-rays. She comforted me and told me everything would be okay. Her kind words and caring attitude helped me to feel better about being at the dentist. From there out, I have had a debrivement, deep cleanings, filling and 2 tooth extractions. From there out, I worked with Stacey, Tawnya, Anne, Leslie, Cheyenne, Myrna, and Chris who all took the time to explain things to me for the questions I had and took the time to get to know me as a patient and also as a person. They always have kept me informed about my procedures, what is going to happen, and how to promote better dental health. Thats a wonderful trait that this staff has; providing excellent customer service while making you feel apart of the Dehnert Dental family! The entire staff has been completely divine. All of the hygienists, dental assistants, front office staff and Dr. Dehnert have been amazing. Dr. Dehnert is the most caring, sensitive and understanding dentist I have ever met. Dr. Dehnert took the time to explain to me all the procedures I would be going through during the duration of my treatment plan and how it would affect me and help get my dental health back to being stable. Every time I called or went in, the staff was caring and made me feel at home. After several visits to the office, I felt like I was right at home there. The office is quiet, has a relaxing feel from the waiting room to the dentist chair.When I had my 2 tooth extractions I was completely terrified. Chris, my dental assistant, made sure that I was taken care of and completely comfortable. Dr. Dehnert assured me that everything would turn out fine and made me feel less stressed about the procedure. And amazingly enough, the day after my extraction, I had no complications and a week later I feel like nothing ever happened. All the horror stories I had heard about having wisdom teeth taken out was not a reality. With Dr. Dehnerts gentle touch and amazing skills, I have had a quick and painless recovery process.I completely recommend Dr. Dehnert as your dentist. You will not go wrong. The entire staff and Dr. Dehnert are there to help you with all your dental needs. Whether you havent been to the dentist in months, or years, they are all there to help you achieve the dental health that you should be at.The other positive note is that they have a wonderful website, www.dehnertdental.com that will give you valuable information about the dentists, and procedures they offer. He didn't miss a thing during my first exam and he uncovered some issues that military dentists have ignored with me for many years! I love doctor D. he is so amazing and wonderful!! I have bad experiences in the past with the dentist so I was wary of going to any dentist. When I got there with my fiance everyone was really nice and wonderful. I just had 4 teeth filled and wow there was no pain and I look better than when the last dentist did the same procedure. My two step kids love him and now one of them wants to be a dental hygienist. The front desk was wonderful in dealing with the insurance company and the cost was very reasonable for what lovely work the good doc does.

After previously visiting two other dentists and an oral surgeon, I met Dr. Dehnert and his staff the first time in April of 2008. I needed all of my teeth extracted and replaced with immediate dentures but dentists scare me to death! During the 1st visit Dr. Dehnert immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. My biggest relief came when he told me he could do both the extractions and the dentures himself instead of sending me to an oral surgeon. Being a big pansy, I opted for an out of pocket anesthesiologist to knock me out during the procedure, which was the best money I have spent in a LONG time ! On the day of the surgery they put me under and everything was done in about 2.5 hours and I woke up with a new set of teeth in my mouth. My wife was there with me and she told me that about every 20-30 minutes, one of Dr. Dehnert's staff would come into the waiting area and give her a status update on how I was progressing. It's been 3 months since that day and I couldn't be happier with my new dentures and aftercare is AWESOME ! I went to this dentist after reviwing ratings others have left on various websites. Unfortunatly, my visit was not as pleasant as I thought it would be. The facilities and people were welcoming. That is not where I had my problem, my problem arised after treatment and I thought I had paid my bill in full the day I had my teeth worked on. I spoke to 2 different people on 2 different occasions, and was told the service would cost me one amount. When I left I thought that would be it, until my next visit. However, I get a bill in the mail telling me I was 30 days delinquent on payment. Upon calling the dental office I am told, "...the service cost more than we expected." I explained that I had spoken to 2 people about what I was going to be charged after my insurance made payments, and when I left I paid the uncovered amount of my bill in full. I just got an I'm sorry, but it cost more than we expected, and did I understand.I paid the extra money, since I didn't want to get any delinquent marks on my credit history. I've tried very hard not to screw that up. I've never had this happen when I pay for something, and later get an "oops! the price went up after you left" bill.

Dr. Dehnert is committed, conscientious, and thorough and has a great sense of humor! Beautiful office with zen sand garden and fountain, friendly staff and excellent quality of work.

Dr. Dehnert is extremely thorough. While he always encourages better dental habits, he is also quick to praise the patient for there being no decline in dental health. Dr. Dehnert also advocates nutrition as a solid component of dental health. Hands down, the best dentist I have ever had. Plus, he's just generally a nice person.His staff is wonderful, too! Always polite and very helpful. The dental assistants take time to explain any procedures fully (as does the dentist).The facility is very nice - candles and cloth hand towels in the bathroom. The prices are very reasonable, even if you are paying cash for your treatment.I am covering all aspects of this dentist because I want to share just how great of an experience I have every time I get my teeth cleaned.
