When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.

I am familiar with the process, but have not done any cases with it. It is an interesting concept, that to my knowledge is a proprietary product of one dental laboratory. I have only seen it with upper dentures, never lower. The just of an upper denture is one large suction cup anyway.The lower is a different story, you will not find many lower dentures that have any kind of suction. The best way to minimize displacement of a lower denture is by anchoring it on dental implants. The upper can have the same treatment, but most of the time is not necessary.As for the ultrasuction (which to my knowledge is a layer of multiple small suction cups that resemble the tentacles of an octopus) your dentist can provide this treatment for you by sending it to the lab. Not having done a case myself, I cannot tell you whether this is a worth-while expense or not. If you are unhappy with the stability of the denture and it is 5 years old or has not had a reline in the last 5 years, consider a reline. If you are happy with the denture you can even have it retrofitted to dental implants and require less frequent relines due to the pressure being transferred to the implants vs. the ridge of your worn jaw (which is why a denture does not fit well after time). Any money spent on dental implants will be money well spent and you will have sufficient satisfaction from their function.I hope this helps in some way.Lan Allen D.M.D.
